Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) set the cricket world abuzz with their phenomenal batting brilliance, as they posted a staggering total of 277/3 against the Mumbai Indians in IPL clash on Wednesday. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma led the charge with their explosive batting, leaving the opposition reeling. Head's blistering knock of 62 runs off just 24 balls and Sharma's quickfire 63 off 23 balls set the stage on fire, with Heinrich Klaasen adding the finishing touches with an unbeaten 80 off 34 balls.

The duo of Head and Sharma unleashed a barrage of boundaries and sixes, decimating the Mumbai Indians bowling attack. Head, who was surprisingly left out of the opening game, proved his mettle by smashing the fastest fifty by an SRH batter in just 18 balls. Sharma followed suit, surpassing Head's record by reaching the milestone in a mere 16 balls.

Head's innings was characterized by exquisite stroke play, as he effortlessly dispatched the ball to all parts of the ground, accumulating nine fours and three sixes. Sharma continued the onslaught, targeting the cow corner region with seven sixes and three boundaries.

The Mumbai Indians' young pacer, Kwena Maphaka, had a forgettable outing, conceding 66 runs in his four overs. Despite some resistance from the Mumbai Indians bowlers, SRH's batting juggernaut proved too formidable to contain.

Former skipper Aiden Markram also made valuable contribution with 42 runs off 28 balls. However, despite SRH's imposing total, it falls short of the highest score in the shortest format of the game.
