The duo of Head and Sharma unleashed a barrage of boundaries and sixes, decimating the Mumbai Indians bowling attack. Head, who was surprisingly left out of the opening game, proved his mettle by smashing the fastest fifty by an SRH batter in just 18 balls. Sharma followed suit, surpassing Head's record by reaching the milestone in a mere 16 balls.
Head's innings was characterized by exquisite stroke play, as he effortlessly dispatched the ball to all parts of the ground, accumulating nine fours and three sixes. Sharma continued the onslaught, targeting the cow corner region with seven sixes and three boundaries.
The Mumbai Indians' young pacer, Kwena Maphaka, had a forgettable outing, conceding 66 runs in his four overs. Despite some resistance from the Mumbai Indians bowlers, SRH's batting juggernaut proved too formidable to contain.
