Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, two of Indias top shuttlers, won their opening match against Malaysias Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, the world champions, to win the Indonesia Open 2023 on Sunday.They won the championship in two consecutive games, 21-17 and 21-18, to claim it. In their nine matches against the No. 3 Malaysian tandem, this was their first win.The Indian duo got off to a hesitant start, but they soon began to unleash their offensive flair, winning six straight points to go up 9-7.
