IND vs ZIM: As Indian cricket team is bracing for T20Is against Zimbabwe, a suprising incident has surfaced which caught attention of netizens. Riyan Parag does a Rohit Sharma. But there is a twist; not on field. Riyan Parag initially forgets his passport and mobile phone in excitement as he received his first call-up to the Indian team for the series, scheduled from July 6 to July 14. He is among several new faces in the Indian squad for the Zimbabwe tour.

Riyan Parag's Journey

The BCCI shared a special video featuring young players discussing their selection for the Zimbabwe tour as they left on Tuesday.  Riyan Parag from Assam spoke about his excitement at joining the team and fulfilling a childhood dream of traveling with Indian cricketers. He mentioned that while the team has many new players, there are also familiar faces he has played with before.

He said that, since I was a child, I had dreamed of traveling like this. We play cricket a lot, but there are other things that come with it, like traveling with the team and wearing the Indian team clothes.

"I was so excited that I forgot my passport and my phone. Well, I didn't forget, but I misplaced them. I have them now. It's a new team, almost entirely new. There are many new players  in the Indian squad, but also some familiar ones that I've played with a lot," Parag explained.

Parag shared his feelings

Parag expressed that Zimbabwe holds a special significance for him, and making his debut there will be a memorable moment.

He further said that as a young boy from Assam, I always dreamed about this moment, and now it has finally come true. I feel a lot of happiness. Zimbabwe will have a special place in my heart. When I play my first match, it will be a very special moment for me and for that ground. 

Shubman Gill Leads Indian Team's for T20Is

The Indian team arrived in Zimbabwe early Wednesday morning. Shubman Gill will lead the team, coming directly from the USA. Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal will join the team later, so Harshit Rana, Sai Sudharsan, and Jitesh Sharma were called up in their place for the first two T20 Internationals. All matches of the series will be held in Harare.
