Turning the Tide
After failing to score in the first match, Abhishek made a strong comeback in the second game. His innings got a lucky break at 27 runs when Zimbabwe's Masakatza dropped an easy catch. Seizing this opportunity, Abhishek batted cautiously and reached his half-century in 33 balls. After achieving his half-century, he shifted gears and batted aggressively. In one over by Dion Meyers, he scored an impressive 28 runs, eventually completing his century in just 46 balls. Abhishek's innings ended at 100 runs off 47 balls, including seven fours and eight sixes.

Abhishek Sharma's century set a new record as he became the first Indian player to score a century against Zimbabwe in T20 Internationals. Moreover, he now holds the highest individual score against Zimbabwe in this format, surpassing the previous record held by Suresh Raina.
