Rahul Dravid has reportedly declined a higher bonus income for the T20 World Cup victory, instead sharing it equally with the support staff. Notably, the former Indian head coach was offered the same prize money of Rs 5 crore as the rest of the team members of the India team, but reports say that the 51-year-old has declined to accept the bonus amount.

This decision highlights his commitment to recognizing the collective effort of the entire team, emphasizing the importance of each member's contribution to the success. Dravid's gesture has been praised as a testament to his leadership and team spirit.

According to the media reports, one of the BCCI sources said, “Rahul wanted the same bonus money (Rs 2.5 crore) as the rest of his support staff (bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, fielding coach T Dilip, and batting coach Vikram Rathore). We respect his sentiments.”
