PCB's Zaka Ashraf accused of misdoings, unconstitutional decisions. Here's why...

The reports claimed that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Zaka Ashraf has been accused of "flagrant misdoings and unconstitutional decisions". ESPNcricinfo reported the accusation came on a situation where his tenure was about to end.

The management-committee member of PCB, Zulfiqar Malik alleged Zaka Ashraf and the management committee via email. As per ESPNcricinfo, a copy of the email was also sent to the Prime Minister's Office as well. While another copy was sent to the Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Ministry of Pakistan by Zulfiqar Malik.

Unconstitutional decisions by management

Malik highlighted the unethical works that have taken place in Zaka Ashraf's term. He also wrote in the email that these works were implemented without consultation or approval from most members.

Reports from ESPNcricinfo quoted, "I have noted some flagrant misdoings and unconstitutional decisions by management that I wish to bring on record to absolve myself from the unconstitutional decisions and wrongdoings which have taken place over the period of time without consultation or approval of most members".

Malik clarified that the PCB chief has not restricted himself to day-to-day affairs and has made many long-term decisions without the approval of other members.

The management committee member explained that decisions regarding the appointment of the former chief selector Inzamam ul Haq and other appointments of several officials, Directors, and Consultants were made without any consultation or approval.

The Pakistan Cricket Board's chief Zaka Ashraf's four-month tenure is due to end on November 5.
