As per the reports, her health deteriorated while watching her son play in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final against Australia in Ahmedabad on Sunday.The Times of India claimed as Men in Blue was locking horns against Australia in the final clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium when Shamis mother suddenly fell ill with nervousness and fever.
