New Delhi: Kylian Mbappes ongoing conflict with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) has taken a new turn as the French football star has lodged a €55 million complaint against the club and its principal shareholder, Qatar Sports Investments. The dispute centers around unpaid wages and bonuses that Mbappe claims are owed to him by PSG. The issue has now been escalated to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).Details of the disputeMbappes complaint includes unpaid wages for the final three months of his contract with PSG—April, May, and June—as well as an ethical bonus for these months. Additionally, the complaint references the final third of a €36 million signing bonus, which Mbappe was supposed to receive in February. According to the French newspaper Le Monde, PSG received an official notice from Mbappes representatives in mid-June regarding the unpaid amounts.Legal action and UEFA involvementCiting article 259 of Frances professional football charter, which mandates that clubs must pay players by the last day of each month, Mbappe has filed his complaint with the legal committee of the French Professional Football League (LFP).
