In 2023’s Indian Premier League match at Ekana stadium, LSG needed to score 127 runs to win. They were hoping for a reliable start from their top order, but unfortunately, they were unable to get it as Rahul was unavailable to bat. Ravi Bishnoi shared the same sentiment and believed that this was a significant setback for the team.

On Monday, the Lucknow Super Giants faced a setback when their captain and leading batsman, KL Rahul, had to leave the field due to an injury. This was especially damaging as Rahul’s presence was crucial for the team’s performance, not only as the captain but also as a premier batter. LSG needed stability from their top order while chasing 127 to win at the Ekana stadium, but they were unable to get it due to Rahul’s absence. Ravi Bishnoi shared the same view, considering it a huge setback for the team.

However, the injury to KL Rahul was a hindrance to the team’s performance, as they lost a crucial batter. Additionally, some poor shots were played by the team, contributing to their performance being subpar. The speaker conveyed this to reporters.

Bishnoi, who took two wickets for 21 runs, acknowledged that the target score was achievable despite being on a pitch that was slow and had low bounce.

The target score of 127 runs was attainable on the given pitch, but the team did not perform well with the bat due to having a bad day. However, the pitch was generally good for batting.

Royal Challengers Bangalore successfully defended a modest target of 126 runs against Lucknow SuperGiants in an 18-run victory at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Monday, thanks to an excellent bowling performance by Josh Hazlewood and Karn Sharma, who both took two wickets each.

In addition to Josh Hazlewood and Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Harshal Patel also took one wicket each to dismiss Lucknow SuperGiants for 108 runs in 19.5 overs. As a result of the victory, Royal Challengers Bangalore has now obtained ten points and is in fifth place in the standings, thanks to a superior net run rate. Lucknow SuperGiants, on the other hand, have slipped to third place, but they still have ten points.

Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 126 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs (with Faf du Plessis top-scoring with 44 runs and Virat Kohli contributing 31 runs), and then defeated Lucknow SuperGiants, who were bowled out for 108 runs in 19.5 overs (with K. Gowtham scoring 23 runs and Amit Mishra contributing 19 runs). Josh Hazlewood and Karn Sharma each took two wickets for 15 and 20 runs, respectively, leading Bangalore to an 18-run victory.
