After a long hiatus injury, star Indian batter KL Rahul has now finally rejoined the Indian squad against Pakistan. Notably, the 31-year-old suffered a thigh injury while participating for the Lucknow Super Giants in the 16th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season.Rahul, however, decided to speak up about his injuries and how his recovery went in the months leading up to the Asia Cup 2023 as he made his comeback against Pakistan on Sunday, September 10. The match is part of the Super Four round of the tournament.A video was shared on the social media handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in which KL Rahul said,”I got injured while trying to chase a ball, and my tendon snapped. I had a full-fledged tear my tendon ripped apart from my quadricep. The right-handed star Indian batter also talked about his comeback to the Indian squad. Notably, Rahul replaced Shreyas Iyer in the Indian batting lineup against Pakistan, as he was ruled out at the last moment due to a back spasm at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).“I am feeling good, it is good to be back with the team. Its been quite some time that Ive been away from the game but yeah, Im obviously happy to be back and yeah, everything worked out right on schedule. So, Im happy that I could tick off all the boxes”.
