The whole country is on alert since the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Caution is being taken in everything. Therefore, amid the tense atmosphere, it has been decided to increase security in IPL 2025 as well. From now on, an anti-drone system will be deployed to protect the airspace at every IPL venue. This weapon will keep an eye on every match from the sky like an eagle. It has started with the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens. Keeping national security in mind, a private company has taken this initiative. IPL is the biggest cricket league in the world, in which many big players participate. This is the reason why no risk is being taken.
What is special about this weapon?
This anti-drone system will help in identifying any suspicious drone within a radius of 4 km of the stadium. The name of this weapon is Vajra Super Shot, which is capable of neutralizing any potential threat by disrupting the communication signal of the drone. Being lightweight, it can be easily deployed anywhere. Also, it is adept at identifying and blocking any kind of frequency. Therefore, it is very effective for crowded places like stadiums. This initiative has been taken with the aim of promoting national security and indigenous defense technology.
On April 22, terrorists opened fire on unarmed and innocent tourists in Pahalgam, killing 26 people and injuring many others. The Pakistani terrorist organization The Resistance Force (TRF) associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) claimed responsibility for this attack. Cricket has remained a topic of discussion since this horrific incident. The BCCI, expressing grief, banned dancing and singing in the match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Also, all the people associated with the league came out wearing black bands.
