In a gripping IPL Eliminator clash, Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured a thrilling victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by four wickets. With this win, RR advances into Qualifier-2, where SRH is waiting for them. The match, held in Ahmedabad, witnessed a captivating showdown between the two teams.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Rajasthan Royals successfully restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore to a total of 172 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Rajasthan showcased a remarkable batting display, achieving victory with six wickets in hand and one over to spare.

Jaiswal leads the way

Yashasvi Jaiswal emerged as the top scorer for Rajasthan, contributing a valuable 45 runs to the team's chase. Ryan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer also made notable contributions, scoring 36 and 26 runs respectively. Meanwhile, Cameron Green, Karn Sharma, and Lockie Ferguson each claimed a wicket for RCB.

Virat Kohli's milestone

Despite the loss, RCB's Virat Kohli achieved another milestone by surpassing 8,000 runs in the IPL, solidifying his position as the league's top scorer. Rajat Patidar also played a crucial innings, adding 34 runs to the team's total. Avesh Khan showcased an impressive bowling performance, claiming three crucial wickets for Rajasthan.

Qualifier-2 showdown

With this victory, Rajasthan Royals have secured a spot in Qualifier-2, where they will face Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 24 in Chennai. The winner of this knockout match will advance to the final showdown against Rajasthan Royals on May 26.

Bengaluru's fighting total

Despite the loss, Royal Challengers Bangalore set a competitive target of 173 runs for Rajasthan. Rajat Patidar, Virat Kohli, and Mahipal Lomror played pivotal roles, scoring 34, 33, and 32 runs respectively. Avesh Khan's stellar bowling performance stood out, as he claimed three wickets to dent RCB's batting lineup.
