IPL 2024: As IPL fans are eagerly waiting for the 17th edition of IPL, several reports claimed that an exciting season will be played between March 22 and the end of May. The final schedule will depend on India's upcoming general election date which is yet to be disclosed. 

Availaibility of players

Meanwhile, IPL also notified franchisese about player's availability for the IPL auction which added spice to the pre-auction buzz. 

Australia's Josh Hazlewood, who is expecting a baby, will only be available from May, while other Aussies have flexibility to choose between the IPL and the Sheffield Shield final.

Meanwhile, England players are generally available for the whole season, with the ECB managing any specific needs around the T20 World Cup. Top players like Harry Brook and Phil Salt are up for grabs, while Rehan Ahmed withdrew his name.

Sri Lanka's key white-ball players like Hasaranga and Chameera are in the auction after being released by their franchises and are available for the entire season.

Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman is available for a part of the season, while pace duo Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam will miss out.

On the other hand, players from Afghanistan, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, and Zimbabwe have confirmed full availability for the season.
