INDW vs AUSW: The Indian women's cricket team has announced its squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against Australia, with four exciting uncapped players earning call-ups for the 50-over format. Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, and Saika Ishaque, who recently played T20Is action, along with the young Mannat Kashyap. India will be looking to make their mark against the formidable Australian team.

Richa Ghosh and Renuka Thakur are also included in the ODI squad, who were rested for the Bangladesh series in July. However, eight players, including Priya Punia, Devika Vaidya, Meghna Singh, Monica Patel, Uma Chetry, Anjali Sarvani, Rashi Kanojiya and Bareddy Anusha miss out on their place in the squad. 

No change in T20 squad

Head coach Ramesh Powar made no changes in T20 squad despite a recent 2-1 series loss to England. Although, Indian team won Test matches against both England and Australia on home turf. Harmanpreet Kaur leads the charge in both formats, with Smriti Mandhana serving as her deputy.

T20I Squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Richa Ghosh (wk), Amanjot Kaur, Shreyanka Patil, Mannat Kashyap, Saika Ishaque, Renuka Singh Thakur, Titas Sadhu, Pooja Vastrakar, Kanika Ahuja, Minnu Mani.

The series will kick off with three ODIs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which is starting on December 28, 2023. The iconic venue, where India defeated Australia. Meanwhile, T20Is will be played in DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, which is scheduled from January 5 to 9, 2024.
