The Adidas Australian Amateur Championship will take place in Yarra Yarra GC and Keysborough, VIC. The 2024 Mens and Womens Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship will be held at Southern Golf Club. Gearing up for the championships the Tricity Golfer expressed “I am excited to take part in two equally prestigious competitions and am confident to bring laurels for the nation, Haryana and Tricity”. Kang belongs to Panchkula where her training journey begins. A promising candidate with many achievementsHenna Kang is a golfer who knows her craft well. Throughout the years she has earned many awards. In 2015 she won Chandigarh Golf Club Junior Golf Tournament. The same year she won first position in the North Zone Indian Golf Union Sub Junior and Feeder Tour 2015 Junior Championship. In 2016 she secured first place in the North Zone Indian Golf Union Sub Junior and Feeder Tour. In 2019 she earned gold in the 26th Punjab Open Ladies Amateur Golf Championship. She also won in 2012 in the 12th Albatross International Golf Championship. Then in 2023, she secured the 2nd position in the IGU Western India Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship. Later on in the same year she finished in 3rd place in the IGU Rotary Southern India Ladies and Junior Girls golf Championship and the IGU Haryana Ladies and Junior Girls golf tournament stood in 2nd place. Kangs long list of achievements hints that she is likely to take Indias name to heights in the coming championships. The secret to Kangs successCurrently, Heena Kang is being trained by her coach Laurence Brotheridge who is from the United Kingdom. Heena Kang shared her training methods stating “It is all about perseverance and consistency in your efforts...I have always tried to strike a balance between my studies and golf and have never compromised with consistency”.
