The Indian cricket team enjoyed a day off in Barbados ahead of their upcoming tour of the West Indies.

Indian cricket stars like Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishan Kishan, and coach Rahul Dravid were seen trying to best each other in a beach volleyball competition.

The light-hearted video, supposedly shot by Ishan Kishan, showed the team touch down to play beach volleyball, with Mohammad Siraj donning the iconic number 7 Portuguese jersey of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kohli and Dravid fist pumping together, and Kishan shouting from the sidelines to hype up his teammates.

The beach volleyball session was scheduled to help the team recover from jetlag after a long flight from India.

“We’re thankful for the team management to get two days for the boys to fight jetlag and we hit the ground running from tomorrow. We just had a light NEC recreation day and that’s about it,” Sohan Desai, the strength and conditioning coach of the team, said in the video.

Most of the Indian cricket team has touched down in the Caribbean ahead of the India vs West Indies series, which is scheduled to kick off on July 12.

India is on a multi-format tour of the West Indies for the first time since 2019. The series will involve two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is, two of which are scheduled to be played in the US.

The first test match will be played in Dominica on July 12.
