India vs South Africa: BCCI announces squads to SA's tour; No Kohli, Rohit in white ball series

India vs South Africa: The Indian men's cricket team is set to tour South Africa for a month-long campaign, where 'Men in Blue' will play three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests. Big guns have been rested for the white ball matches on their request, stated the BCCI's media release.

SKY to lead in T20I, KL Rahul in ODIs

The selection committee has shown faith in Suryakumar Yadav and handed him the captaincy of the T20I while KL Rahul will lead the Indian side in ODIs. 

On the other hand, BCCI also provided an update on the availability of Mohammed Shami saying, "Mr Mohd. Shami is currently undergoing medical treatment and his availability is subject to fitness."

BCCI show faith in India's young guns

India is showing faith in young guns in the quickest formate of cricket and included the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, and Jitesh Sharma in the squad. While, in the absence of regular players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the gun guns got the chance to prove their mettle in the ODIs.  Sai Sudharsan, Tilak Varma, Rajat Patidar, and Rinku Singh have been added to the squad.

Meanwhile, India will be eyeing to win the first test series on South African soli with the return of their regular players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. While Mohammed Shami's availability is subject to his fitness. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad are also named in the test squad.
