Team India was forced to train indoors at the Gamini Dissanayake Indoor Cricket Nets at Nondescripts Cricket Club because of the heavy rain in Colombo ahead of the Super 4s Asia Cup match against Pakistan.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had opted out of the first practice on nets, but other players sweated it out on a rainy day. With four practice wickets available, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shardul Thakur took turns batting. Ahead of the Pakistan game, the Indian team addressed the weaknesses of Indian batting line-up: left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi. Head coach Rahul Dravid, batting coach Vikram Rathour, and other throwdown specialists worked on the nets to meet the needs of the batters.

All eyes were on Rahul, who joined the team after the group stage, as he batted in the nets alongside Iyer. The focus was on countering the challenges, especially those posed by the left-arm pacers.
Determined as ever 💪

Team management might have to make the tough call of dropping Shreyas Iyer in order to fit KL Rahul into the playing XI against the calsh with Pakistan on September 10.
Left-handed batsman Ishan Kishan cemented his place in the team with his stealthy performance against Pakistan. Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid would not want to tinker with his position. This means that team management has to drop Shreyas, who wasn’t very effective in the India vs. Pakistan match.
The Indian cricket team is once again battling the unfavorable weather in Colombo, Sri Lanka, as the anticipated match between India and Pakistan approaches. The players had to modify their training schedules due to the city’s recent high rains and the city’s tropical monsoon climate.
The Indian team might once again choose to practice indoors on Friday because there is a 75% possibility of precipitation. On Thursday evening, flights from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will also arrive in Colombo. In particular, the last two will begin practicing on Friday because they will compete against one another on Saturday.
