India vs England: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Monday, announced a 16-member squad for England's tour of India. England will play a five-match Test series with the current No.1 team, India.

Who are the three uncapped players?

England included three uncapped players in the squad. Speedster Gus Atkinson along with spinners Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir have been included in England's test squad while Ben Stokes will lead the team.

The 24 years old, Tom Hartley has played two ODIs for England while he scalped 40 first-class wickets in 20 games for Lancashire. On the other hand, the 20-year-old Shoaib has scalped 10  wickets in six matches. He made his first-class debut for Somerset in the 2023 season.

Star players return for IND vs ENG

English team included only four pacers in the contingent with the likes of veteran James Anderson, Gus Atkinson, Mark Wood, and Ollie Robinson. Surprisingly, Chris Woakes was left out for India's tour, who scalped 19 wickets in Ashes 2023. It will be interesting to watch, whether Ben Stokes is able to ball or play only as a batter as he underwent left knee surgery, last month.

However, Ben has two wicket-keeping options in Jonny Bairstow and Ben Foakes, who are making a comeback after being left out for the Ashes series. Moreover, Jack Leach and Ollie Pope are also among those who are making a comeback in the squad after picking injuries during the English summer.

What is the schedule of IND vs ENG Tests?

The series opener game between India and England will be played on January 25 in Hyderabad. Moving on to the next match, teams will travel to Visakhapatnam next for the second Test that starts on February 2 while the third game will be played in Rajkot from February 15. Ranchi will host the fourth Test on February 23 and the final Test will be played in Dharamsala from March 7.
