India won by two wickets in a nail-biter clash against Australia at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. With this win, India took an inaccessible lead of 1-0 in the 5-match bilateral series. In pursuit of 209 runs, India chased down the total as Rinku Singh smashed the maximum on the last ball of the innings.

Brillinat fifites form SKY and Ishan Kishan

Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan's half-centuries helped India to secure a two-wicket win. This is also the highest T20I  run chase, outperforming the chase of 208 against West Indies in 2019. Suyakumar, who is the current skipper of the side, scored 80 runs off 42 deliveries while Ishan Kishan scored 58 runs off 39 deliveries.

Rinku finishes off thrilling chase

At a point it looked like India was going to win the game easily, three wickets on successive deliveries changed the equation of the game. India needed one run off one delivery, and Rinku Singh hammered a big six to seal the game.

Tanveer Sangha was the pick of the bowlers from the Australian side who claimed two wickets in a high-scoring game.

Earlier, Australia posted a huge target of 209 helped by the brilliant ton of Josh Inglis.
