Sports News. India Masters have won the first season of International Masters League T20 by defeating West Indies Masters in the final. Sachin Tendulkar-led Indian team chased the modest target of 149 runs after facing some setbacks in the final played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Ambati Rayudu batted brilliantly while chasing this target and helped India win the tournament by scoring 74 runs in 50 balls.

Lendl Simmons and Dwayne Smith played brilliant innings

West Indies Masters won the toss and decided to bat first. India Masters kept the strike going, however, Dwayne Smith held one end and kept the scoreboard ticking. He scored 45 runs in 35 balls and was looking dangerous, however, the Indian spinners pulled the Windies back. Lendl Simmons was also looking dangerous. He scored 57 runs in 41 balls and was ready to take the Windies to a strong score, however, the score remained below 150 due to poor bowling by the Indian players.

Ambati Rayudu brought victory

India Masters got off to a good start chasing the target. While Sachin Tendulkar was batting at number two, Ambati Rayudu took over the game. He scored 74 runs off 50 balls while Sachin scored 25 runs off 18 balls. Their innings ensured that India was always far ahead of West Indies. Stuart Binny and Yuvraj Singh also had some great times and led the Indian team to victory without any trouble with six wickets and 17 balls to spare.

What did Lara say after the toss?

Brian Lara won the toss and said that we will bat first. In the last few days, we have seen very little or no dew. I don't think there is going to be much effect on the ball. It is very important to put runs on the board, so that pressure can be put on the team chasing the target. Whenever India plays, the audience turns up. We want to perform really well tonight. My players are fully prepared for this. We had to face some problems before the final, but everyone performed well.

Toss does not matter - Sachin

Sachin said that this is a good pitch, the toss does not matter. We have to do our job properly whether batting or bowling. We will try to stop them in the shortest possible time. We are playing with the same team today. We have not made any changes.
