The bowling coach of India, Paras Mhambrey said that he was unaware of PCB’s official complaint regarding alleged misconduct with Pakistan’s player during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 14.

The ‘Men in Blue‘ outplayed Pakistan securing a victory by 7 wickets but it wasn’t India’s win that gained attention but its crowd’s behavior after the match that became the talk of the town.

In the post-match presentation, the head coach of Pakistan Grant Bradburn, and team director Mickey Arthur complained about it at the post-match press conference.

Mickey Arthur said that it felt like a bilateral series was organized by BCCI event rather than a World Cup by ICC. Arthur even went on to complain about the choice of music being played on the ground. He said the Pakistan camp was not pleased with the they were treated by the crowd in the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.

PCB’s official complaint

The Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) posted on the microblogging platform X, “The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and the absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023″.

It further added, “The PCB has also filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs Pakistan match held on 14 October 2023”.

Indian bowling coach responds

When asked about PCB’s complaint, India bowling coach Mhambrey said, “Honestly – I am the wrong person to answer that question. Really, I have not even heard what you are saying. That’s not something, it’s not my domain so really, I can’t answer that”.

Ahead to India’s fourth encounter in the ongoing multinational event against Bangladesh at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
