India defeated Australia by 99 runs in the second one-day international (ODI) here on Sunday, taking a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. After being selected to bat first, India collected 399 runs, including centuries from Shubman Gill and Shreyas Gill.
KL Rahul led the team in the first two games of the three-match series, scoring 52 off 38 balls, Ishan Kishan contributed an 18-ball 31, and Suryakumar Yadav scored 72 off 37 balls, reaching his half-century in 24 deliveries. After being set a revised target of 317 in 33 overs following the day’s second rain delay, Australia were all out for 217 in 28.2 overs.
The International Cricket Council took to took to ‘X’(Twitter) to announce the triumphant win of India over Australia despite the disturbance from rain.
