IND vs SA: Tour opening game washed out due to persistent rain

In an unexpected turn of events, the first match between India and South Africa has been called off due to persistent rain at Kingsmead stadium in Durban on Sunday. 

The two teams were greeted with drizzles in the series opener clash. Groundstaff covered the pitch as rain delayed the toss. Eventually, the match itself got delayed as the rain continued to interrupt. Umpires called off after as the conditions didn't get better. 

India is eying to move on from the ICC World Cup final's heartbreak with an impressive 4-1 win over Australia. India will play 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20s  in South Africa.
