Resuming on 70*, Rahul defied a challenging pitch and South Africa's potent bowling attack to reach his superb ton. His innings was a masterclass in resilience, as it came in a crucial situation. He reached his century mark with a delightful cover drive for six against Marco Jansen and a six over backward point to mark his half-century were highlights of his knock. With Mohammed Siraj falling at the other end for 17, Rahul's 101 off 137 deliveries propelled India to 245.
