IND vs SA: Rohit Sharma's Team India tightened their grip on the second Test against South Africa on Day 2, cruising towards victory after Jasprit Bumrah ripped through the Proteas batting with a game changing six-wicket haul in the first session. However, Aiden Markram, countered with a brilliant century for the hosts, setting up a target of 79 runs at Newlands on Thursday.

Bumrah's brilliance crushes South Africa 

The Indian pace spearhead was on fire in the morning, wreaking havoc on the South African top order. Bumrah's searing pace and impeccable line and length proved too much for the Proteas batsmen, sending them tumbling one by one. Bumrah's career-best figures of 6-36 helped South Africa bundled out for a a below par toatal of 176.

Markram lifts Proteas

In response, Aiden Markram stepped up for the Proteas, displaying grit and determination to compete a magnificent century. The South African opener defied the Indian bowlers, anchoring his team's second innings and injecting hope into the home camp. He hammered 106 runs in 103 deliveries ijcluding 17 boundries and 2 maximums.

India bounceback after dramatic collapse

Just when South Africa seemed back in the game, another dramatic twist unfolded. The Indian batting, which looked formidable earlier, crumbled spectacularly after the tea break. Lungi Ngidi's stunning triple-wicket maiden over triggered a collapse, and India's remaining three wickets perished inside 11 deliveries.
