New Zealand outclassed India with both bat and ball throughout the match. In a shocking turn of events, India was bowled out for just 46 runs in their first innings. The Kiwis capitalized on India's poor performance, posting a commanding 402-run total in their first innings, gaining a massive lead of 358 runs.

Although India put up a fight in their second innings, their efforts were not enough. In the final session of Day 4, India lost 7 wickets for just 54 runs, allowing New Zealand to remain in control. Chasing a modest target of 107 runs, New Zealand comfortably achieved the win, losing only two wickets in the process.
