IND vs ENG: Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma responded to comments made by English cricketer Ben Duckett, in a pre-match press conference on Wednesday. The 36-year-old cricketer gave a humorous reminder about the capabilities of Indian player Rishabh Pant.

Ahead of the fifth and final Test of the ICC World Test Championship series against England in Dharamsala, Sharma addressed Duckett's remarks regarding 'Bazball.'

In a press conference, Sharma expressed his uncertainty about the term 'Bazball,' stating, "I honestly don't know what (Bazball) means, whether it is to go and strike, whether it is to go and defend and wait for the loose ball."

Sharma further added, "I have not seen any wild swinging from anyone, so I don't know exactly what this term means. But, yeah, clearly they have played better cricket from what they played the last time they were here."

What were Ben Duckett's claims?

Earlier, England's opener Ben Duckett commented that England should take credit for the aggressive cricket played by opposition players, particularly after Yashasvi Jaiswal's century. Sharma chuckled and said, "There was a guy called Rishabh Pant in our team, probably Ben Duckett hasn’t seen him play."

Sharma refrained from revealing India's probable XI for the upcoming game, indicating that the decision might hinge on the prevailing weather conditions in Dharamsala. He suggested that if conditions favored fast bowling, India might consider introducing a third pacer.

"If we feel the weather is going to be like this, there is a good chance (to play a third seamer). We've not yet completely decided on it, but there is a good chance," Sharma stated.

Sharma also acknowledged the unpredictability of the conditions in Dharamsala, noting the contrasting weather compared to previous matches played at the venue.
