India's Explosive Start

After Bangladesh's skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and opted to bowl, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli provided a blazing start. Racing to 29/0 in the first three overs, Sharma's quickfire 23 off 11 deliveries set the tone. However, his momentum was halted by Shakib Al Hasan in the fourth over. With the wicket slowing down, Kohli and Rishabh Pant carried the innings forward, reaching 56/1 by the end of the seventh over.

Middle Order Stumble

The match saw a brief shift in momentum when Tanzim Hasan Sakib dismissed both Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav in the ninth over. This double blow put pressure on India, reducing them to 70/3. However, Pant and Shivam Dube's steady 31-run partnership steadied the ship, bringing India to 97/3 after 11 overs.

Pandya and Dube's Partnership

Rishad Hossain's spin claimed Pant's wicket in the 12th over, but Dube and Hardik Pandya then took charge. Despite a few quiet overs, the duo accelerated the innings, pushing the score to 120/4 by the 14th over. Dube's valiant innings of 34 off 24 balls ended in the 18th over, but Pandya's explosive 50 off 27 deliveries ensured India posted a formidable total of 196/5 in 20 overs.

Bangladesh's Response

Chasing 197, Bangladesh's openers Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan got off to a steady start, reaching 27/0 in four overs. Hardik Pandya's breakthrough in the fifth over dismissed Das, but a 31-run partnership between Hasan and Shanto guided Bangladesh to 64/1 by the ninth over.

Kuldeep Yadav's Crucial Strikes

The match swung decisively in India's favor with Kuldeep Yadav's double strikes. He dismissed Tanzid Hasan and Towhid Hridoy in the 10th and 12th overs, respectively. Kuldeep continued his dominance by removing Shakib Al Hasan in the 14th over, leaving Bangladesh struggling at 98/4.

Final Overs and India's Victory

With 89 runs needed off the last five overs, Shanto and Mahmudullah aimed to accelerate. However, Jasprit Bumrah's dismissal of Shanto in the 16th over and Jaker Ali's departure in the 17th over left Bangladesh reeling. Despite Mahmudullah and Rishad Hossain's efforts, the continuous fall of wickets limited Bangladesh to 146/8 in 20 overs, sealing a comprehensive 50-run victory for India.
