IND vs BAN 2nd Test: Another frustrating day of Test cricket has come to an end, with the entirety of Day 2 lost to rain. The weather proved relentless, wiping out any hope of play. However, the forecast for Day 3, September 30th, looks much brighter, raising expectations of a full day’s play that could reignite the Test and keep all possible outcomes in sight. Despite the complete washout today, hopes remain high for clearer skies tomorrow. With an entire day lost, early starts are expected for the remaining days of the Test, and we hope to bring you live action soon. Until then, goodbye!
As anticipated, Day 2 of the Test match has officially been abandoned without a single ball bowled. The heavier rain predicted in the forecast unfortunately materialized, and persistent drizzle dashed any chance of play. Both teams will now regroup and return on Day 3, with the hope that better weather conditions will allow for a resumption of play, keeping the match alive for a result in the days that remain.
The situation remains unchanged, as the drizzle continues intermittently. Puddles have formed on the covers, which are fully spread across the ground. With no sign of the sun, prospects for play today remain slim. While optimism remains, the weather has not been on our side. Let’s hope conditions improve as we look forward to a possible change tomorrow.

As we wait for updates on the Test match, let’s turn our attention to the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup, set to begin on October 3, 2024, in the UAE. This highly anticipated tournament will feature 10 teams divided into two groups of five. Originally planned for Bangladesh, the event was relocated due to political unrest. Defending champions Australia, who have claimed the title six times, remain favourites. With the rising popularity of women’s cricket, excitement is building for yet another thrilling competition.
In case you missed it, Shakib Al Hasan recently hinted at his desire to retire from the Test format during a pre-match press conference. While he has confirmed that the upcoming T20 World Cup will be his final appearance in T20 Internationals, he expressed hopes of playing his last Test at home. Bangladesh is set to host South Africa for a two-match Test series in October, though the series is pending security clearance due to the ongoing political unrest in the country. If it goes ahead, one of Bangladesh’s greatest cricketers could bid farewell in Dhaka.
