IND vs AFG: An electric display from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube powered India to a comfortable 6-wicket victory in the second T20I against Afghanistan at the Holkar Cricket Stadium on Sunday. While Gulbadin Naib's fiery fifty anchored Afghanistan's total of 172/10, the Indian batting duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube tore apart the bowling, chasing down the target in just 15.4 Overs.

Jaiswal's blazing start

The young Jaiswal stole the show early on, smashing 68 runs off just 34 balls. He reached his half-century in a mere 27 deliveries, the fastest by an Indian against Afghanistan in T20Is. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a duck, second time in the series. After the departure of Rohit, the pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli steadied the ship and added 57 quick runs in 28 deliveries. Virat Kohli, who is returning in the cricket's shortest format after T20 World Cup 2022, looked in ominous form. He hammered a quick fire of 29 runs in 16 deliveries.

Dube breaks record

Not to be outdone, Dube joined the party with a brutal 63 off 32 balls. He even reached his fifty in just 22 deliveries, the fastest ever by an Indian in T20Is against Afghanistan. The pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli stitched together a rapid 92-run partnership in just 42 balls, putting India firmly on the path to victory.

Gulbadin's fifty powers Afghanistan

Earlier, Gulbadin had led the charge for Afghanistan with a powerful 57 off 35 balls. Promoted to number 3, the veteran batsman provided much-needed solidity to the middle order. A late flourish from the lower order, with Afghanistan adding 63 runs in the last five overs, helped them reach a respectable total of 172.

India takes series

With another convincing win, India wrapped up the three-match T20I series 2-0. This is India's 10 consecutive series win in the cricket's shortest format.
