Additional adjustments to the World Cup schedule are in the works, and the official announcement regarding these changes is expected to be made on July 31.Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah hinted at the possibility of a schedule change last week, revealing that three cricket boards had written to the International Cricket Council (ICC) requesting a calendar adjustment. The primary aim of the alteration is to reduce the gap between matches to four or five days, instead of the current six-day gaps between some matches. However, Shah did not disclose the names of the ICC full members who had made the request.“Three members have written to the ICC for a schedule change. Only the date and timings will be changed, venues will not be changed. If there is a six-day gap between games, we are trying to reduce it to four-five days. The picture will be clear in three-four days.
