First athlete to win multiple medals at single Olympics

Manu Bhaker's today's win has solidified her legacy, as she is now the first athlete of independent India to win multiple medals at a single Olympic Games. Breaks Norman Pritchard record

Norman Pritchard, a British-Indian athlete, was the only other Indian to achieve a double medal at the Olympics, winning two silver medals in the 200m sprint and 200m hurdles at the 1900 Paris Games. Bhasker's accomplisment, however, stands out as the first by an Independent India.
