IND vs ZIM: The young cricketer Abhishek Sharma who currnetly made a debut in against Zimbabwe, has captured the nation's attention after his commendable century in the 2nd T20I at Harare on Sunday. After a disappointing start with a duck in his debut match, he played an explosive innings, scoring one of India's fastest T20I centuries, which peopelled India to 100-run victory over Zimbabwe.

At the age of 23, Abhishek broke several records as he reached his century in just 46 balls. Within 48 hours of reciving his cap, he won Man of the Match award.

Following the match, Abhishek made two special video calls, one to his family in India and another to his mentor Yuvraj Singh in England. Despite Yuvraj's busy schedule captaining India Champions in the World Championship of Legends League, he took Abhishek's call and praised his performance, "Very proud! Well done, very proud. You deserve it. Many more to come. This is just the start."

Abhishek reveals: Yuvraj's unusual reaction

Abhishek also revealed that Yuvraj was oddly pleased when he was dismissed for a duck in the first T20I the previous day, "I spoke to him yesterday as well. I don't know why but he was very happy when I got out for 0. He was like, 'That's a good start', but I think he must be feeling very proud, just like my family. It's all because of him. The hard work he has put in me for years. He has been working really hard on everything; I wouldn't say it's just on cricket. Off the field as well."

Abhishek remarkable comeback 

The quick turnaround between matches less than 24 hours apart helped Abhishek recover from his initial failure in the first T20I. He started dedicatedly in the second match, hitting a six off the second ball he faced and continued to dominate with 8 sixes and 7 fours.

Despite being dropped in the seventh over and benefiting from a DRS decision in the 12th, Abhishek's innings was marked by aggressive batting, including hitting three consecutive sixes to reach his century.

Reflecting on his approach, Abhishek said, "The positive was that we didn't have much time to think about the next game because it was the next day. The moment I felt that there was a bowler I could go after, I tried it. I was in a flow so I just wanted to go out there and express myself."
