Having endured the grind and excelled in various roles throughout his career, I am confident that Gautam is the ideal person to steer Indian cricket forward.
Although Gautam Gambhir will almost certainly take over as head coach, the BCCI has not yet released a formal statement. This is because, per rumors, Gambhir's compensation has not yet been finalized. It is expected to exceed the Rs 12 crore that Rahul Dravid receives annually. According to Jay Shah, the new head coach will go to Sri Lanka with the Indian squad for their upcoming assignment, where they will play three Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals.
The defending IPL champions must immediately make significant additions to their backroom personnel, as KKR is about to suffer a double blow. According to a report, KKR has reached out to Rahul Dravid, who will soon succeed Gautam Gambhir as head coach of Team India, to assume the role of team mentor that Gambhir is leaving behind.
