New Delhi: Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra missed out in making history by becoming the first Indian to win two Olympic gold medals in individual events. Despite his impressive performance, he secured a silver medal in the men's javelin throw at the Paris Olympics.  As a result Pakistan's athlete Arshad Nadeem, won the gold medal with a record-breaking throw of 92.97m.

With his silver medal, Neeraj Chopra becomes the fifth Indian athlete to win multiple Olympic medals, joining a prestigious group that includes Norman Pritchard, Sushil Kumar, PV Sindhu, and Manu Bhaker, who made history with two bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics. By adding a silver to his Tokyo 2020 gold, Neeraj Chopra cements his place among India's most accomplished Olympians.
