The football league of India, the Indian Super League (ISL), without a title sponsor? On September 21, the season officially begins, and it might not have one for the first time since it was initially introduced in 2014. From 2014 to 2022–2023, the title sponsor was Hero MotoCorp, the Indian multinational with the largest market share in the nation’s two-wheeler industry. Virtua and Nivia, however, were featured as official partners on the ISL website on Tuesday. However, the All-India Football Federation (AIFF) website, which contains a schedule for the current ISL season, carries the company’s logo.

In addition to the ISL, the business has been the title sponsor of India’s second-tier men’s league, the I-League, since 2014. Additionally, for the national teams, women’s league, and championships Additionally, the business supported the men’s worldwide invitational competition known as the Intercontinental Cup.

The official statement

Hero MotoCorp is committed to sponsoring several sports. It has made significant investments in the sport of golf, with the Hero World Challenge, an annual event on the PGA Tour, being a major draw. It makes investments in motorsport as well, and up until 2022, it served as the Caribbean Premier League T20 competition’s title sponsor.

“We are one of the largest global corporate promoters of various sporting disciplines,” the company’s website says.

The contract had expired and had not yet been extended, according to a representative who was informed of the development. ISL organiser Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), a commercial partner of AIFF, did not respond to HT’s requests for comment.
