There is only one week to go until the first FIFA tournament of the year: the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup! The sports event is all set to take off on 15 February and will go on until February 25 in Dubai. The trophy will be sought after by 16 member association teams that will partake in the 12th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. 

FIFA recognizes Brazil, IR Iran, Japan, Portugal, and Italy as strong competitors. Some players that are predicted to excel on the field are Edson Hulk, Chiky Ardil, Catarino, Marco Giordani, Felipe, Be and Leo Martins, Moslem Mesigar, and Ozu Moreira.

Qualification process

Out of the total 16 teams that have qualified for the final tournament, one is United Arab Emirates. Being the host country they have automatically been qualified for six separate continental competitions. 

The qualification process began in October 2022 and completed in August 2023. On 14 March, 2023 the approval of the slot allocation took place by the FIFA Council.

February 15: USA vs. Italy at 6:30 AM ET,  
February 17: UAE vs. USA at 10:30 AM ET 
February 19: Egypt vs. USA at 6:30 AM ET 
February 22: Quarterfinals at 10:30 AM or noon ET
February 24: Semifinals at 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM ET 
February 25: Third Place Match at 9 AM ET and 
Final at 10:30 AM ET
