India's FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Kuwait on June 6 ended in a depressing 0-0 tie, making Sunil Chhetri's final international match before retirement less than ideal. Despite playing the whole game, Chhetri was unable to add one more match-winning goal to his already illustrious Indian career. At the end of his career, the 39-year-old ranked fourth in men's international football goals scored, behind players like Ali Daei, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
