New Delhi: Indias star cricketer and seasoned off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has entered into a new arena as co-owner of the American Gambits, a chess team set to debut in the upcoming second season of the Global Chess League. The highly anticipated tournament will commence from October 3 to 12, 2024, at Friends House in London. This league is a joint initiative between Tech Mahindra and FIDE, the international chess federation.R Ashwin has an impressive track record in red-ball cricket. He scalped 516 wickets in 100 Test matches for India. Now, he is eying to redefine the game and contribute actively to the teams success.
