The Indian Premier League (IPL) schedule for the first 15 days was released by the BCCI on Thursday. The opening match of the league features the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Due to the general elections conflicting with the IPL, a partial schedule was released. In mid-March, the Election Commission is anticipated to release the nationwide polling schedule, after which the remaining IPL fixture list will be made public.

More on IPL'24!

The men in yellow have been confirmed to play in the opening match. Last year, MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings defeated the Gujarat Titans in the IPL Final. India's two mainstays, Dhoni and Virat Kohli, will square off in the opening match, as RCB has been confirmed as their opponent.
Among the tantalising matchups in the first schedule is Hardik Pandya's return to Ahmedabad on March 24, when he will play for the Mumbai Indians against the Gujarat Titans, his previous team. On April 2, the RCB and the Lucknow Super Giants will meet in Bengaluru.
