NBA: Kawhi Leonard and Trae Young have been declared players of the week for the NBA Players of the Week for Week 15 of this season (2023-2024). Kawhi Leonard is a forward for the LA Clippers and Trae Young is a point guard for the Atlanta Hawks. In honor of celebrating their players, below is a look into their achievements in their NBA journeys. 

The NBA has made the announcement today regarding who won the title this week.

Trae Young's NBA Achievements

NBA All-Rookie First Team (2019): During his draft class, Young took a spot among the top five rookies. 

Helped take Atlanta Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals (2021): He supported his team to reach the second-to-last round of the playoffs. This was the first time in several years that the team moved up that far.

Two times NBA All-Star (2020 and 2022): Trae Young was voted as one of the best players in the league by fans and coaches.

Top player in All-NBA Third Team (2022): He was shortlisted as one of the top 15 players in the entire league.

Trae Young has earned multiple franchise records for points, assists, and three-pointers. He holds countless records for the Atlanta Hawks. 

Trae Young is viewed as one of the most exciting young players present in the NBA.

Kawhi Leonard's NBA Achievements:

Two-time NBA Champion (2014 and 2019): Leonard bagged one championship with the San Antonio Spurs and won another one for the Toronto Raptors.

Two-time NBA Finals MVP (2014 and 2019): He became Finals MVP honors in both of his championship seasons.

Six-time NBA All-Star (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2024): He was selected to play in the prestigious All-Star game on multiple occasions.

Three-time All-NBA First Team (2016, 2017, and 2021): He was recognized as one of the top 3 players in his position for the league. 

Two-time All-NBA Second Team (2019 and 2020): Selected as the top 5 players in his position.

NBA steals leader (2015):  During the 2014-2015 season Kawhi Leonard led the entire league in steals. 

Two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year (2015 and 2016): He earned the award for being the league's best defender. Leonard won this title for two consecutive years.

Three-time NBA All-Defensive First Team (2015 to 2017): He was shortlisted three times as one of the top 5 defenders in the league. 

Four-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2014, 2019, 2020, and 2021): Leonard was selected four times among the top 10 defenders in the league. 

NBA 75th Anniversary Team (2021): Kawhi Leonard was honored as one of 75 of the best players in NBA history.

AP Athlete of the Year (2019): He earned an award for his excelling performance in the 2019 NBA season and Finals run.

Kawhi Leonard is an experienced NBA player whose body of achievements are truly admirable. 

Both of the players bring zest, energy, and most importantly their hard work whenever they come on the court. These two, star players have rightfully earned their spots as the NBA Players of the Week.
