The Brazilian Football Federation(CBF) has said that they are dropping 23-year-old forward Antony Matheus dos Santos from the national team after allegations of sexual assault were raised against him by his ex-girlfriend. She had even lodged a complaint against him where she alleged four previous incidents of domestic violence, bodily injury, and threat.She further stated how Antony threatened her to stay with him while she was pregnant. She said “ He said that if I didnt stay with him, I wouldnt stay with anyone. I told him that I was pregnant, that he was scaring me, making my heart race. I was shaking with fear,”According to Gabrielas media reports, Antanony had also thrown a glass at her which cut her finger, and threatened to throw her out of the car as well. She also alleges she was punched in the chest, causing damage to a silicone breast implant, which required corrective surgery.Antonys reacts to accusations Antony has reacted to these accusations and called them false. He took to social media and said that he is innocent and believes in police investigations to reveal the truth.“Since the beginning I have treated this matter with seriousness and respect, providing the necessary clarifications before the police authority,” Antony said on Instagram.“I can confidently state that the accusations are false and that the evidence already produced and the others that will be produced demonstrate that I am innocent of the accusations made. I trust that the ongoing police investigations will demonstrate the truth about my innocence,” he added.The Brazilian footballer also mentioned that his relationship with his former partner was “tumultuous”, but insisted he “never committed any physical aggression”. Since the investigations are underway, Antony said that he will not be commenting on this matter any further.
