The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) has dedicated a set of gates to Sachin Tendulkar in honour of his 50th birthday. Tendulkar, who considers the SCG his favourite venue outside of India, is the first non-Australian cricketer to earn this honour, with his close friend Brian Lara.The gates are located between the away dressing room in the Members Pavilion and the Noble Bradman Messenger Stand. The Brian Lara-Sachin Tendulkar Gates will be used for the first time by the Pakistani cricket team during the New Years Test in Sydney next year. The Don Bradman Gates are positioned to the right of the Australian cricket teams home changing room.
