Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the BCCI's central contract list . The central contract has been announced for women players but it is still awaited for male players. It is believed that BCCI can announce the central contract soon. Different claims are being made in various media reports about who will get promotion, who will get demoted, who will be fired and which new faces will get entry. However, until the formal announcement is made, their importance is nothing more than speculation. However, if a media report is to be believed, big changes can be seen in the central contract list. Rohit Sharma , Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, who have retired from T-20 International, may be demoted. Axar Patel may get promotion. 4 new faces may get entry.

BCCI Central Contract Shake-up

If a report in a Hindi newspaper is to be believed, Team India coach Gautam Gambhir 's huge support staff may also be cut. In another report of the same, citing sources, it has been told that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja can be demoted from A+ grade to A grade. A+ grade is the top grade. It usually includes those players who are consistently performing well for Team India in all three formats. Since, Rohit, Kohli and Jadeja have all retired from T20 International, hence they can be put in A grade. Shubman Gill can be promoted from A grade to A+ grade.

Akshar Patel likely to be promoted

Another media report claims that Akshar Patel can be promoted from Grade B to Grade A. At the same time, Ravichandran Ashwin, who has retired from international cricket, may be dropped from the contract list.

Some new faces may get entry in the central contract list. Nitish Reddy, Harshit Rana and Abhishek Sharma may be included in the central contract list for the first time. They may be placed in category C. Last time Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan were released from the central contract due to not playing domestic cricket, but this time Iyer may get entry.
