Indian para-athlete Dharmaraj Solairaj clinched a gold medal in the Mens Long Jump-T64 at the ongoing Asian Para Games 2023 in Hangzhou on Friday. The veteran Indian athlete scored 6.80 points in the final event to clinch the top position on the podium while Sri Lankas Maththaka Gamage secured the silver medal with 6.68 points. Japans Matayoshi Koto managed to score the bronze medal with 6.35 points.Solairaj scored 6.36 points in his fourth attempt. However, the Indian athlete made 6.80 points in his last and sixth attempt to clinch the gold medal. Maththakas second attempt was his best and put 6.68 points on the scoreboard.
