The opening game of the 2023 Asia Cup will be played on August 30 against Pakistan and Nepal. The tournament’s opening game will take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium, but before that, there will be a glamorous performance at the curtain-raiser event. Pakistani vocalist Aima Baig and Nepalese performer Trishala Gurung will light the stage on fire at the inaugural ceremony.
Although Pakistan was the only host nation for the Asia Cup in 2023, more than half of the games were moved to Sri Lanka since the Indian team refused to attend the tournament there. However, it has been revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board chief that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Roger Binny and vice-president Rajiv Shukla will be witnessing the opening ceremony.
According to the sources, Indian singers Atif Aslam and AR Rahman will be among the performers in Asia Cup 2023 opening ceremony. In addition to this, it is being reported that Asian music and dance performances by Aima Baig and Nepali singer Trishala Gurung are among the stars who will set the stage on fire with their rocking performances at the curtain raiser.
