Entering the competition as one of the major medal prospects, Annu Rani lived up to expectations. Her first throw, starting from the sixth position, resulted in a distance of 56.99 meters. However, it was her second throw that truly showcased her capability, soaring to an impressive 61.28 meters to propel her to the top of the leaderboard.

Although her third throw measured 59.24 meters, it was her fourth attempt that left no doubt about her dominance in the field. With an incredible throw of 62.92 meters in her fourth attempt, Annu Rani not only clinched the gold medal but also achieved her personal best for the season.
