New Delhi: After India's thrilling victory in the T20 World Cup 2024, Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20 International cricket. The announcement came through a heartfelt message shared on social media, accompanied by a photo of Jadeja celebrating with the World Cup trophy in the dressing room after India's hard-fought win against South Africa at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

"With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals. Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats," Jadeja expressed in his post. Winning the T20 World Cup was the pinnacle of his T20 International career, marking a dream fulfilled and cherished memories with fans and supporters.

Remarkable achievements

Since his debut against Sri Lanka in February 2009, Jadeja has left an indelible mark with his all-round abilities. He hammered 515 runs and claimed 54 wickets across 74 matches in T20Is. His standout performances include a crucial innings of 46 runs against England in 2022 and impressive bowling figures of 3/15 against Scotland in the 2021 T20 World Cup.
