New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur, revealing an alleged bribery scandal involving the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The video in question, which has garnered significant attention online, exposes an intricate bribery scheme involving prominent figures within the IRCTC and a contractor.

Video surfaces on social media

A username Ghar Ke Kalesh shared a video on X platform. In the video, two men are prominently featured. One of the men, identified as Rahul Shrivastav, is seen handing over a bribe to another individual identified as a train commandant. The video clearly shows Shrivastav, dressed in a black kurta, transferring a package containing fruits and sweets to the commander. This exchange takes place in what appears to be an office setting, with the men engaged in a covert conversation. In the end of the video, commander said make this video viral, so that citizens will get to know about the system.

Allegations of malpractice

Rahul Shrivastav's remarks in the video are particularly alarming. He accuses the IRCTC of engaging in malpractice, claiming that there is a shortage of supplies which has prompted the need for bribery. Shrivastav asserts that the contractor, Ravindra, has orchestrated this bribery scheme. The fruits and sweets are allegedly being used as a form of bribe to address the shortfall of supplies within the IRCTC system to soldiers.

A fourth user of X platform wrote, "Such officers get huge respect and are motivational personnel for many soldiers and public who have huge respect for such self less service towards country."
